RESUMO |
INTRODUÇÃO: Transtorno espectro Autista (TEA), é um conjunto de distúrbios neurológicos, podendo acontecer precedentemente aos três anos de idade. Os mesmos podem apresentar mudanças comportamentais, como dificuldades na comunicação e interação social, pode-se apresentar repetição de movimentos e movimentos estereotipados. A terapia com o equino, conhecida como equoterapia pode proporcionar recursos terapêuticos para portadores de TEA, possibilitando a motivar a estimulação de diferentes quadros, e funcionamento adequados para esses indivíduos. |

ABSTRACT |
Introduction: autism spectrum disorder (asd), is a set of neurological disorders, which can occur as early as three years of age. They may present behavioral changes, such as difficulties in communication and social interaction, repetition of movements and stereotyped movements may occur. Equine therapy, known as equine therapy, can provide therapeutic resources for people with asd, making it possible to motivate the stimulation of different conditions and adequate functioning for these individuals. objective: this work aims to succinctly and completely present some characteristics of autism spectrum disorder (asd) and the benefits of hippotherapy in patients who have asd. Methods: it was conducted in the form of a bibliographical review through research in scientific articles in internet databases, such as pubmed, scielo, pedro, among others, with the purpose of examining and relating information relating to hippotherapy in patients with asd.results: according to the research carried out in this study, equine therapy provides several effects for people with asd. Referring to motor skills and cognitive and psychological aspects, benefits to balance, concentration and posture. Conclusion: in total, 100% of patients with tea, who practice equine therapy as a complementary therapy or treatment, observe that the numerous benefits of the practice involving horses are evident in the motor changes. |
